Project Complete

Burger Project’ is famous Aussie chef, Neil Perry’s, well, burger project... So it is hard not to expect a lot. All things considered, I chose the spicy chicken katsu, and was well off for it. The katsu was cooked perfectly - juicy, tender free range chicken. The crumb was well-seasoned and perfectly crunchy. And the katsu sauce was the unsung hero, tangy, sweet and delicious. The spice factor was great also. I love spicy food and the chilli paste and jalapenos added a nice kick to the experience.

While it’s usually a bit of a nightmare getting a seat in the Macquarie Center food court, Burger Project has lots of dedicated seating tucked away in a covered outdoor setting just up from Strike Bowling. An added bonus is that at $11.90 you get a whole lot of quality burger for your buck. Yeah, you could always head down to Maccas and grab a Big Mac meal for a few bucks less, but it’s not 1am, and you’re not drunk at Central Station. Do yourself a favour, try Burger Project.
